ST. EDITH'S PILGRIMAGE WALK - 14 MILES

£7.95

Beside the Pilgrims Way - Winchester to Canterbury - is this pilgrimage destination at Kemsing, Kent. Her well is close to the church. St. Edith was born in Kemsing in 961AD. Although of royal blood, she chose a monastic life and steadfastly stayed with her nune and Abbess. Her well  was widely known for its healing properties, especially the eyes.

This circular pilgrimage from Sevenoaks brings you Seal and St. Peter & St Paul's church, before reaching Kemsing, her well and St. Mary the Virgin church. You return via the North Downs to Otford and St. Bartholome's church and Archbishops Palace. An absorbing pilgrimage.
