WALKING THE PILGRIMAGE ROUTE TO ST. GILLIES DU GUARD - 200 MILES

£9.95

In medieval times this pilgrimage route in France, from Le Puy to St. Gillies du Gard , was the fourth major pilgrim route, after Jerusalem, Rome, and Santiago. Better known as St. Giles, he was an important figure and a most worthy destination to his shrine. Here on the coast pilgrims boarded boats to Jerusalem.

The book is the story of my walk and what I found, the churches, shrines and key sites assocatied with St. Gile's life.

Includes the pilgrim stamps I collected on the way. Plus maps and history notes.
